Chris Christie for President -- "Fat Chance"

Leave it to the Main Stream Media to find their inner muse.  In typical fashion headlines take a glory filled glee in Christie's fatness while torpedoing his Presidential aspirations.  First, let me say two things that come to mind.  It is about time the press started to act like the citizens watchdogs that hold elected officials accountable in seeking to get to the bottom of this affair.  I do not care one iota that the person who is thrust into the microphones for 107 minutes is a Republican.  If Christy did do something this horrendous then he should be perp walked out of office and into jail because the effect of the incident saw someone die as a result of the action.

Second, where were the hound dog press for the "Fast and Furious" scandal that also resulted in deaths and could still result in many more until all of those weapons walked across the border by our Government are recovered and accounted for?

Maybe this incident will open a wider prism into political power and the capability to wield it by using government assets to exact retribution.  To understand better the gist of my hope, just look at what the DNC Chair said about Christie==

"DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz said the "revelations are troubling for any public official." But she said: "They also indicate what we've come to expect from Gov. Christie -- when people oppose him, he exacts retribution. When people question him, he belittles and snidely jokes. And when anyone dares to look into his administration, he bullies and attacks."
Now, replace Christies' name with Obama's.  Maybe the MSM will wake up after all, one can only hope but to coin an offensive MSM headline "Fat Chance".

  1. Quick, name the last politician who actually did something that proves they care for the population one iota.
Not to dismiss your quite valid points.

    1. Jack Kemp, Ronald Reagan, Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Darrel Issa and even Joe Lieberman to a certain extent. On the left I could say Zell Miller. Read my comment response to DaBlade because it is also fitting to your response as it pertains to what I believe is coming down the pike.

    2. Ronald Reagan I'll give you, although he didn't turn back any of the liberal agenda implemented by lbj or carter. Did some good things though.

These other folks, what have they actually Done beside talk ?

You may be right with the other reply and I hope you are, but for me, I don't see the repubs as any kind of solution to anything. Chasing a non-solution ain't gonna feed the bulldog, but all things in their time.

    3. Jack Kemp walked away from his "football" career and served in the military. You can't get more "for the people" than that. Ted Cruz has done more to energize the conservative base than anyone, since Sara Palin. Well Sara Palin continues to advocate tea party principles. Sometimes talking is what is needed and the "action" should follow if enough people hear what they are saying.

I, like you do not hold the GOP (Republicans) as the answer to these socialistic problems because they are also the problem. They are statists. I want you to ponder a couple of things when it comes to the "talking" about taking the country back (which Palin and Cruz are famous for). If you look at the current news about the skewed unemployment rate dropping below 7% and see the real issue which the left and Republicans don't want to talk about -- is the number of Americans that have left the workforce (given up looking for work). That number now stands at 92MM. 92MM idle hands. Do you remember the old adage about idle hands. This is 92MM people who want to work, but know that their government has lied to them and done everything to sabotage the workforce. 92MM is roughly 1/3 of Americans.

Will they listen to General Valleley and march to take this country back given the fact they have idleness in which to utilize?

    4. Yes, the employment and inflation numbers are fake. The real inflation rate based on pre-1980 calculation methods is 10% for example.

Well, I don't think anyone is going to do anything Rosey.

  2. It's a strange position for me to be in. I am no fan of Christie ever since it's been clear he is nothing more than a RINO in the mold of Dole, McCain, and Romney. The Obama makeout session on the beach after Sandy was the clincher for me. However, the ones attacking him now (the media and the left) have no redeeming qualities at all. They may very well look back and deeply regret they took Christie out as the Republican nominee (if this is how it plays out) and a true warrior conservative in the mold of Ted Cruz steps into the vacuum.

  3. Everything is quickly moving to the "tipping point" because the socialists have been backed into a corner and when a rabid dog is in a corner there is only one way out, forward and ruthless. What I mean is this -- For a long time now the public has been more educated as to what is going on regardless of what the MSM and the big government pols have been trying to spoon feed us. Obamacare, debt, lying to us, using the institutions to punish their enemies, homosexuals full court press, amnesty, etc. I could go on and on with that list. The point is they are, for the first time in a long time, actually scared of US and what we will do come elections or God forbid something more ominous in the way of insurrection. What Christie did was to show that the GOP is just as dangerous to the average public as Obama and his fellow travelers are. Notice how fast John Boehner came out in support of the GOP front runner. The GOP is just as bad as the socialists because they are Statists as well. The difference being that the GOP are more Corporatist than Socialist. This is evident with the alignment of the "Chamber of Commerce" with the GOP that is trying to kill of the tea party movement. Every step that the socialists and the GOP corporatist are currently making are out of desperation and preservation for the status quo, which of course, the average people DO NOT WANT.

We live in interesting times, indeed. Watch for more drama as they continue to make moves out of desperation and that tipping point to tilt to unchartered territory.
