Jimmy Carter loves them so!
Jimmy Carter, the failed Democratic President of the late 1970's is at it again with his fawning support of Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Syria or anything islamic. In a op-ed in the Washington Post, he really out does himself with saying the war in Gaza is unnecessary.
In addition to his brazen and narcissistic point he makes that all Isreal had to do was to wait for him and his team to negotiate, the war could have bee avoided. Thus it is unnecessary.
The line I found most reprehensible and telling was this:"And this fragile truce was partially broken on Nov. 4, when Israel launched an attack in Gaza to destroy a defensive tunnel being dug by Hamas inside the wall that encloses Gaza."Defensive tunnel? Carter has totally lost it. A defensive tunnel. If Carter needs to know what is truely defensive he needs to look no further than Israel and the "bomb shelters for their population", or the "safe rooms" in each household or the staggering of school times and routes. If Hamas was at all defensive towards protecting their innocents then where are their bomb shelters (they are filled with arms and bombs if they did exist at all). Before Israel attacks (out of self defense from provocation) they drop leaflets on the opposing population warning them to stay away from Hamas or their whereabouts to protect them. Isreal protects Palestinians more than Hamas does.
