Martha Luther King, Jr.

Socialist Coakley attempts to channel slain civil rights leader!

It is refreshing to see that even in a “navy blue” state Americans can make informed and rational choices about whom they want to represent their interests. Massachusetts last elected a Republican Senator in 1972 but that statistic is about to be a footnote in history as panic has reached the White House and prompted a reluctant President to stump for Marcia Martha Coakley which will put his credibility on the line ala Olympic bid, Global Warming Summit and personal appearances for the embattled losing New Jersey Governor Corzine. In addition to the White House panic, Patrick Kennedy could not even get Marha’s name correct (three times) as he referred to her as Marcia Coakley in his endorsement for his families Senate seat (I guess his rehab treatment didn’t go so well).

At his first campaign stop for Coakley Obama was heckled. Now we learn that Obama slammed Brown a number of times during a speech when referring to the GM truck the candidate boasted “got him around the state during the campaign to meet the folks”.

According to Gatewaypundit -

Today Barack Obama campaigned for Martha Coakley in Boston and bashed Scott Brown and truck owners several times during his speech. Obama told the crowd, “Anybody can own a truck.”

Republican Scott Brown is a regular guy who drives a truck with nearly 200,000 miles on it. He says the truck has brought him closer to the people as he’s traveled around Massachusetts during the special election to replace the late Ted Kennedy in the U.S. Senate.

Just as Brown did with the quick retort at Coakley debate when he said “no Martha, it’s the peoples seat” referring to her elitist view that it is “Ted Kennedy’s seat”, he quick responded to a reporter regarding Obama’s slamming his pickup truck in his ads. Again, according to Fox News – “Later Scott Brown responded to the president’s attack. Brown took that opportunity to slam the president on government spending.

Mr. President, unfortunately in this economy, not everybody can buy a truck,” Brown said in a statement. “My goal is to change that by cutting spending, lowering taxes and letting people keep more of their own money.”

So today, Martha now states that “if Martin Luther King, Jr. were here today he would be standing with us”. I am shocked that she hasn’t said that Jesus Christ is on her side (but then again Obama is). The statement was ludicrous given her record as a prosecutor.

According to Politico – “It’s probably not surprising, then, that as DA in Middlesex County; Coakley opposed efforts to create an innocence commission in Massachusetts, calling the idea “backward-looking instead of forward-looking.” Of course, that’s sort of the point — to find people who have been wrongfully convicted. So far, there have been at least 23 exonerations in Massachusetts, including several in Coakley’s home county.

Now that is something that MLK, Jr. would endorse, right? Hell, Martha even believes that there are no terrorists left in Afghanistan. I guess the bombing that has paralyzed Kabul since yesterday was perpetrated by the boy scouts or better yet maybe it was the Democrat operative (working for Coakley) that “took out the Weekly Standard” reporter !
